Hi Everyone,
Welcome to the September, 2008 Edition of our Castle Glen Herald Newsletter!
We have
just finished pruning all our grape vines in readiness for Spring and our expected bumper crop. It certainly was a chilly winter with temperatures reaching down to -10 degrees on some nights and regularly below 10 degrees in the day inside the Cellar Door. Just remember that a nice cold winter almost always precedes a bumper crop. We are looking forward to harvesting around
55 tonnes of grapes next year.
Our
babies are growing well! Our new avenue planted trees are enjoying all the rain that we have had here at Castle Glen.
Spring brings
warm weather which means manufacturing time. We will be busy making fabulous New products and our favourites of course!
The
first of the season will be
finishing the beer and it will be ready for release next week. Strawberries will be ready soon, so we will be manufacturing our
Strawberry Liqueur and
Strawberry Champagne ready for
Xmas drinking!
Our
New Glass from Italy has
arrived in the country. The fantastic new Castle Glen Bottle with our custom shape and design will be available soon! New shapes and sizes will also be available.
Castle Glen goes to the Hunter Valley! This month will are releasing a range of our best selling Liqueurs, along with Wines, Fortified Wines and Sparkling Wines in the Hunter Valley, NSW. Our Late Pick Red and particularly our 2002 Cuvee Style Sparkling Wine with 24kt Gold were the favourite tasters for the folk who tried them.
Castle Glen goes to the Olympics! Our 2002 Chardonnay/Semillon Sparkling Wine with 24kt Gold was sold in Beijing for the Olympics. Gold Medal spirit!
Do you live on Queensland's Sunshine Coast? Don't forget you can taste and purchase all of our Castle Glen Products at our
